We are committed to helping more people to play a greater part in our economy and society.
We want to help communities develop the skills they need to thrive. So we are working with non-governmental organisations (NGOs) as well as social, micro and small enterprises to share the skills, knowledge and talent of our people. In 2018, PwC launched a global commitment to invest in the future of 15 million individuals, non-governmental organisations (NGOs), social, micro and small enterprises to help them maximise their potential. So far, we’ve reached 23.7 million beneficiaries.
Over ten million of these beneficiaries were reached through our New world. New skills community programmes. New world. New skills. is our biggest global initiative in this area and addresses the mismatch between the skills people have today and those needed to navigate the digital world.

We are sharing our knowledge with change makers, such as non-governmental organisations (NGOs), social, micro, small enterprises and educational institutions, based on experiences and lessons from our own digital transformation journey.
In FY23, our New world. New skills. initiatives reached more than two million individuals, non-governmental organisations (NGOs) , social, micro and small enterprises worldwide.

Our global network works collaboratively with a variety of organisations to address skills-related challenges facing the world at large, and to create sustained outcomes.
The jobs of the future are likely to require new skills that are harder to come by in communities where opportunities are lacking. To help bridge this gap, PwC entered into a collaboration with UNICEF in support of Generation Unlimited, a Public-Private-Youth-Partnership aimed at helping 1.8 billion young people transition from school to work by 2030.
Together, we engage with young people, businesses and policy makers to help create the right conditions for youth to succeed.
Recent publications include:
- The net zero generation: Why the world needs to upskill young people to enable the net zero transition – Makes the case for why governments and businesses must work in partnership to prioritise and invest in green skills for youth, as the net zero transition continues to transform our economies and societies.
- Reaching YES: Addressing the youth employment and skilling challenge – Identifies global youth skilling “gaps” which impede youth from gaining the skills they need and actionable steps to address the skilling gaps.
- Stepping forward: Connecting today’s youth to the digital future – Identifies stepping stones that can help bridge the youth digital divide and how stakeholders can come together to share knowledge, build expertise, and co-create solutions.
When catastrophic events, natural disasters and humanitarian crises occur, our foundations and member firms around the world do what they can to help the people and communities affected.
